Job Description

We are looking for a Jr. Systems Administrator to support daily IT operations for a manufacturing environment in Pompano Beach, Florida. This contract opportunity with potential for a permanent role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on technical work, user support, and infrastructure maintenance across desktop and network systems. The person in this role will help keep technology running smoothly by resolving issues, preparing equipment, and contributing to network and communication initiatives.
Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, and peripheral devices to maintain reliable end-user productivity.
  • Set up, test, and support network hardware such as switches and routers while assisting with connectivity and communication needs.
  • Provide responsive technical assistance for hardware, software, and communication issues, including escalated tickets from first-level support.
  • Record, track, and update incidents and service requests in the helpdesk platform to ensure accurate documentation and timely resolution.
  • Prepare and validate customer-owned equipment before shipment to confirm proper functionality and readiness for deployment.
  • Perform routine preventative maintenance, repairs, and user training to reduce downtime and improve overall system performance.
  • Maintain current records for hardware, software, and support activity data to support inventory control and reporting.
  • Partner with the Systems and Network Manager on infrastructure-related projects and recommend practical improvements to support processes.
  • Deliver scheduled after-hours or weekend emergency support when needed while maintaining a customer-focused service approach.
  • Follow workplace safety, quality, and operational standards while keeping the work area organized and secure.
