GENERAL DESCRIPTION
Performs general network and systems maintenance tasks and resolves low to intermediate problems immediately. Escalates more complex issues to a higher level of support. Provides technical assistance and answers to users' questions, and assists users by troubleshooting problems with computer hardware, software, and network connectivity.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Identifies, investigates, and resolves users' problems with computer software and hardware Answers support calls, chat, email, and/or other communication from users with inquiries regarding technical issues, connectivity, printing, and similar concerns Consults with users to determine steps and procedures taken to identify and resolve the problem Configures, monitors, and troubleshoots Cisco switches, including VLANs, trunking, and port level issues Supports and maintains Fortinet FortiGate firewalls, including policy review, VPN connectivity, and firmware updates Administers Meraki dashboard environments, including MX security appliances, MS switches, and MR wireless access points Responsible for handling special projects, as assigned by the IT Director and/or IT Systems Administrator Supports and maintains the Microsoft 365 environment including Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Exchange, SharePoint, and Teams. Arranges service by software or hardware vendors to repair or replace defective products Maintains knowledge of technology innovations and trends Responsible for setting up and supporting Windows laptops, desktops, and mobile devices Performs other related duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree (preferred) 2+ years of Active Directory and/or IT experience supporting users Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing Comfortable with Windows Server 2019/2022 and network cabling Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco switches Practical experience with Fortinet FortiGate firewalls Working experience administering a Meraki dashboard environment (MX, MS, and/or MR) Required skill set in administration of Microsoft 365 (Entra ID, Intune, Defender, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams)
PREFERRED CERTIFICATIONS
Cisco CCNA Fortinet NSE 4 or higher Meraki Solutions Specialist (ECMS) Microsoft 365
Certified:
Fundamentals or Administrator CompTIA Network+ or Security+ PHYSICAL

Some lifting of computer equipment up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis. Primary working conditions are typical of an indoor/office environment.
