This position is a mix of desktop support, network administration, and administrative duties. You will provide hands-on technical support to healthcare end users while assisting the IT Director with the administration, maintenance, security, and troubleshooting of our network, servers, workstations, and Microsoft 365 environment. The ideal candidate has some knowledge of Windows, Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Ubiquiti/UniFi networking, server virtualization, and basic network administration . Experience supporting technology in a HIPAA-regulated healthcare environment is highly preferred. Key Responsibilities Provide Tier 1 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, applications, and peripherals. Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows workstations and software. Administer and troubleshoot Active Directory , including users, groups, computers, permissions, and Group Policy. Support a Microsoft Hybrid 365 environment , including Microsoft 365, Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint, and hybrid identity. Assist with Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD and account synchronization. Assist with monitoring and troubleshooting Ubiquiti/UniFi network. Assist with VPNs, network security, connectivity issues, and network infrastructure projects. Support physical and virtual servers and assist with VMware, Hyper-V, or similar virtualization platforms . Assist with server maintenance, patching, backups, monitoring, and troubleshooting. Maintain IT asset inventories, network diagrams, system documentation, and configuration records. Support employee onboarding/offboarding, including account setup, equipment deployment, access changes, and equipment recovery. Assist with cybersecurity initiatives, endpoint security, access controls, and incident response. Maintain strict confidentiality and comply with HIPAA, privacy, and information-security requirements . Provide professional, responsive, and customer-focused support to employees. Participate in On-Call rotation Assistance with disaster preparedness & response Required Qualifications 2+ years of experience in desktop support, IT support, systems administration, or a related field. Strong Windows and hardware troubleshooting skills. Working knowledge of Active Directory and Microsoft 365 . Basic knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network troubleshooting. Experience with Ubiquiti/UniFi networking is preferred. Basic understanding of server administration and virtualization. Strong troubleshooting, communication, organizational, and customer-service skills. Ability to prioritize multiple technical issues and work independently. Ability to handle confidential information appropriately. Healthcare IT or HIPAA knowledge. Microsoft InTune knowledge Microsoft Entra ID/Azure AD knowledge. Comfortable & compassionate with seniors in a long term care setting.
