Position Summary We're looking for an entry-level IT Representative to support the day-to-day technology needs of our clinic. This role is responsible for troubleshooting hardware and software issues, maintaining IT equipment, providing support for the e-Clinical Works EMR system across clinic workstations, supporting staff with technical questions, and helping ensure our systems run smoothly and securely. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their IT career who wants hands-on experience in a healthcare setting. Key Responsibilities Provide first-line technical support to clinic staff for computers, printers, phones, and other IT equipment Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues Set up and maintain workstations, monitors, and peripherals for new and existing staff Assist with user account management (password resets, permissions, new user setup) Support and help maintain the clinic's Electronic Health Record (EHR/EMR) system and related software Monitor systems for basic security compliance and escalate issues as needed Maintain inventory of IT equipment and supplies Coordinate with outside vendors or IT support contractors when issues require escalation Document recurring issues and basic troubleshooting steps for internal reference Assist with onboarding/offboarding of staff technology access Help ensure technology practices align with HIPAA and other data privacy requirements
Qualifications Required:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate's degree or IT certification a plus, not required) Basic understanding of computer hardware, software, and networking concepts Working knowledge of a range of computer and network diagnostic utilities Good understanding of the organization's goals and objectives Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset Ability to explain technical issues in plain language to non-technical staff Ability to make independent decisions when necessary and maintain a high level of responsibility and dependability Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple requests at once Preferred (not required): Experience with EHR/EMR systems (e.g., e-Clinical Works, Epic, Cerner, athenahealth, etc.) Familiarity with HIPAA and healthcare data privacy requirements CompTIA A+ or similar entry-level IT certification Experience supporting Windows environments Bilingual English/Spanish Strongly Preferred Familiarity with basic networking (Wi-Fi setup, routers, VPNs)
