VWare/Linux Administrator

Serving as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and Individual Contributor, this role provides high-level technical expertise across the entire operational lifecycle of the enterprise VMware and Linux ecosystems. The incumbent is responsible for ensuring the stability, performance, and resilience of these environments through proactive monitoring, complex troubleshooting, and change planning. Additionally, this position acts as an Enterprise Storage administrator, overseeing the organization's Network Attached Storage (NAS) infrastructure.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

Manage the VMware infrastructure, including VM provisioning. Provide technical expertise and expert guidance for Linux. Perform timely patches, tuning, and upgrades to VMware and Linux including firmware upgrades at the system and device levels. Monitor system performance to proactively resolve issues before they become critical. Assist other technical teams as needed to maintain operational integrity. Provide subject matter expertise, mentoring, and overall system health information to leadership, customers, and coworkers. Manage Incident tickets and Service Requests in the relevant queues. Provide performance reports, capacity usage reports, issue resolution summaries, detailed documentation of processes and procedures, or troubleshooting guides as requested. Perform other duties as assigned. Requirements 5-7 years of VMware vSphere with vSAN operations experience 3-5 years of hands-on Linux system administration experience 2-3 years of hands-on enterprise storage management experience

Pay:

$43.00 - $50.00 per hour
