Job Description
Develop and support embedded Linux software, board support packages, device drivers, and hardware integration for advanced embedded systems. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with at least 5 years of relevant experience. Advanced degree in a related field with at least 3 years of relevant experience may be considered. In lieu of a degree, at least 9 years of relevant experience. Active U.S. government Final Secret Security Clearance. Minimum 3 years of professional experience developing embedded Linux device drivers. Proficiency with embedded C and C++. Experience with Bash and Python scripting. Experience with board bring-up and target hardware integration. Experience debugging hardware-software integration issues. Experience using hardware schematics during root cause investigations. Experience with debugging tools such as logic analyzers and Wireshark. Preferred Skills Experience with Git and SVN version control systems. Experience creating custom Linux distributions with Buildroot. Experience with Agile software development methodologies. Experience with DevSecOps practices and environments. Experience with embedded Linux kernels, bootloaders, root filesystems, build toolchains, and BSP development. Job Responsibilities Design, develop, test, deliver, and support embedded Linux software systems. Develop and maintain embedded Linux Board Support Packages. Develop and support Linux device drivers. Support build toolchains, Linux kernels, root filesystems, and bootloaders. Perform board bring-up and integrate software with target hardware. Investigate and resolve complex hardware-software integration issues. Perform root cause analysis using schematics, logic analyzers, Wireshark, and related debugging tools. Participate in Agile planning and development activities. Manage change requests and task assignments through Jira. Follow applicable engineering development, quality, and software lifecycle processes.
