Job Description

Reports to:
VP / CIO
Description of Position:
Support the credit union's entire technology infrastructure including all hardware and software. Recommend changes or upgrades as a result of on-going administration of the network.
Qualifications:
Minimum two-year experience in the computer field Associate degree or greater in IT, Computer Science or related field § Good verbal and written communication skills where tact, persuasiveness, discretion, accuracy and clarity are essential. § Good Interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to work cooperatively with all levels of employees, board members and management § Sound judgement and in-depth analytical and decision-making skills § Must be ethical and able to keep information confidential in appearance and in fact § Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues § Ability to organize and prioritize multiple projects and duties; possess time management skills § Valid Illinois Driver's License for driving to multiple locations as needed
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Support the credit union's local area and wide area network hardware and software to ensure that back-end functions, systems, PCs, servers, and all peripheral products are operational. 2. Research and diagnose IT problems within the entire infrastructure, troubleshoot, and provide solutions. Test solutions to ensure a correct solution. 3. Provide technical assistance and support for incoming questions and issues related to computer systems, software, hardware, and peripherals. 4. Provide and run backup procedures that maintain the integrity and security of the credit union's technology infrastructure. 5. Monitor and maintain the credit union processing schedule, add/delete jobs or job plans, and fix failed jobs. 6. Maintain the credit union wide anti-virus solution. 7. Maintain complete and accurate documentation and procedures for all IT systems. 8. Test and install new software both for the network and for individual users. 9. Install, configure, and test new physical and virtual servers for in house systems. 10. Maintain computer and user group policies, user accounts, permissions and passwords. 11. Keep abreast of state-of-the-art hardware, software developments, and security development. Recommend new technologies that enhance the efficiency and security of the network infrastructure. 12. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. 13. Perform other responsibilities deemed necessary by management which will enable the credit union to reach corporate objectives.

Pay:
$25.00 - $28.00 per hour
