Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Crane Service Technician to join our Illinois-based Field Service Team. This hands-on role is responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, installing, and commissioning overhead crane systems and related lifting equipment throughout the Peoria area and surrounding region. The ideal candidate is a seasoned technician who can troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, work with minimal supervision, and provide exceptional service and technical expertise to customers. What You'll Do Inspect, diagnose, repair, install, and commission overhead crane systems, hoists, jib cranes, monorails, and related material handling equipment. Troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues, including motors, brakes, controls, limit switches, and VFDs. Perform OSHA and ASME inspections, document findings, and provide repair recommendations. Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documentation. Communicate directly with customer maintenance personnel and plant management regarding equipment condition and recommended solutions.
