Mobile Device Specialist

Job Summary The Mobile Device Specialist will focus on managing iPhones/iPads to our standards and helping set up/support end-user hardware such as laptops, monitors, printers, scanners, and tablets. They will also serve as Tier 1 support for everyday software and hardware issues, log tickets, resolve common problems, escalate when needed, and assist with simple documentation and basic user training (how-to guides, FAQs, VPN and mobile best practices, etc.). This is a great growth opportunity for someone who wants to build their skills in IT support, mobile device management, and customer service to our internal users. An ideal candidate brings some IT/help desk or hardware support experience, is organized and detail-oriented, and enjoys helping others solve technology issues.

ACCOUNTIBILITIES

Mobile Devices Purchasing, cataloging, deployment, and provisioning of iPhone and iPad according to company standards. Day-to-day administration of Verizon, MaaS360 and similar platforms under the direction of the IT Manager. Understand the different mobile device needs of employees (field, fabrication, office, leadership) so the proper devices, plans, and apps are deployed. Perform device setup, configuration, and replacement, including number changes, SIM swaps, and accessory management. IT Hardware Support Setup user workstations - laptops, monitors, keyboard/mouse, docking station - using standard company images and configurations. Manage access to all common equipment such as printers, scanners, and copiers, including basic troubleshooting and coordination with vendors when needed. Keep inventory of all employer owned end user equipment (laptops, monitors, peripherals, phones, tablets) and support replacement schedules defined by the IT Manager. Maintain a small pool of spare equipment on hand to facilitate quick turnaround of IT requests and minimize downtime. Tier 1 Support Serve as the first point of contact for daily software/hardware issues with users, in person and remotely. Log all user tickets in the company ticketing system and maintain accurate notes for future reference and trend analysis. Resolve Tier 1 issues (password resets, basic connectivity, application access, printing, etc.) and escalate more complex issues to the IT Manager or external consultants when necessary. Follow documented procedures and checklists to ensure consistent support and adherence to standards. Documentation and Training Support Update and maintain simple checklists, how to guides, and FAQs for common IT tasks and user self-help. Assist the IT Manager with preparing and delivering basic user training on topics such as login procedures, VPN use, and mobile device best practices.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

Associate's degree in information technology, business, or related field (or equivalent experience). Experience in an IT support, help desk, or related role preferred. Experience working with mobile devices and end user hardware in a business environment is a plus.

COMPUTER SKILLS

Working knowledge of Windows workstations, common office applications, and basic networking concepts. Familiarity with mobile device management tools and carrier portals, or ability to learn them quickly. Excellent organization skills, attention to detail. Communication and problem-solving skills with a customer-service mindset toward internal users.

Pay:

$20.00 - $24.00 per hour
