The Control System Specialist I position will design and implement PLC and DCS automation controls for ICM projects.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES
Develop DCS and PLC programs along with HMI graphics for specific projects. Install software and computer equipment at the various plant locations ensuring proper installation and start up. Assist with verification and startup of automated industrial control systems. Provide engineering support to ICM clients, contractors and field personnel on the implementation of the projects electrical designs and automation. Generate electrical material requisitions for assigned projects. Develop ideas and methods for the continuous improvement in the design process and equipment applications. Work with vendors and other ICM departments to procure materials and equipment. Provide support to existing plants in analyzing and resolving problems or addressing other automation issues. Identify electrical issues and determine resolution. Provide motor control circuit and process instrumentation troubleshooting.
Education/Certification:
Associates or Technical degree in related field required
Required Knowledge& Experience:
1-3 years previous DCS and PLC programming experience required AutoCAD electrical design experience preferred Industrial plant startup experience preferred
Skills/Abilities:
Possess excellent computer skills utilizing MS Office products and AutoCAD software Strong technical math skills
