Barton Community College, Fort Riley Military Academic Services, is seeking applicants for a replacement Student Services Specialist to join our team! We need a people-focused professional who enjoys helping others, solving problems, and keeping things running smoothly. As the first point of contact for students visiting our Fort Riley office, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming and supportive experience. You'll assist current and prospective students by providing general information about Barton, answering questions about programs and classes, and helping students connect with the right resources, including scheduling appointments with advisors. Additional responsibilities include assisting with office duties such as processing student enrollments and transcripts, working with multiple operating systems to assist students and staff, answering phone calls and emails, and performing other administrative duties.

Qualifications:

A high school diploma or GED required; an associate degree in Business Technology or related field preferred. The successful candidate must have the ability to interact professionally and effectively with students, faculty, and staff; work with students of diverse ages and backgrounds; work independently and multitask; and demonstrate strong problem-solving skills. Computer experience and proficiency in Microsoft Office are required. Military knowledge is preferred.
