Job Description
We are seeking a Technical Service Technician is a customer-facing technical role responsible for supporting product quality, resolving technical issues, and contributing to continuous improvement activities. This position serves as a technical interface between customers, manufacturing, and internal stakeholders, combining laboratory testing, data analysis, and on-site customer support. The role is suited for professionals who have built a solid technical foundation and are ready to independently handle defined technical tasks while continuing to grow their problem‑solving and customer communication skills. Duties and responsibilities Customer & Field Technical Support Plan, coordinate, and participate in customer plant visits to evaluate product performance and customer process conditions Record customer process settings, operational conditions, and observations during site visits Actively support technical discussions with customers regarding product applications, quality issues, and improvement opportunities Handle customer quality claims, complaints, and concerns in coordination with internal departments Pick up samples from customers and deliver samples to customers as required Support customer plant tours and technical visits at the facilities Prepare visit reports, business trip reports, and customer feedback documentation Testing, Analysis & Problem Solving Conduct standard, customer‑specific, and special laboratory tests (e.g. material analysis, process condition analysis, weathering tests) Plan and execute testing schedules, including issuing technical instructions (TI) as required Manage and evaluate customer cross‑check samples and inter‑laboratory comparisons Analyze and simulate test data and summarize results using appropriate statistical tools (Pareto analysis, histograms, box plots, Cp/Cpk, SPC, etc.) Support root cause analysis and troubleshooting of product‑ and process‑related issues Prepare technical reports for customers and internal stakeholders in an accurate and timely manner Internal Coordination, Quality & Continuous Improvement Coordinate technical activities with Quality, Engineering, Production, Sales, and other departments Optimize internal and external communication related to special tests, customer feedback, complaints, and new developments Support audits, PPAP activities, and specification alignment in cooperation with internal and global members Process internal and external weathering samples and manage long‑term evaluation programs Participate in Kaizen and continuous improvement activities related to testing, quality, and operations Record and maintain technical data, quality issues, visit reports, competitor information, projects, actions, and customer directions Prepare periodic reports (monthly / semi‑annual / annual) regarding quality improvements, actions taken, analysis results, and effectiveness Share technical reports and findings with relevant departments and global members Participate in exhibitions, trade shows, and technical events as required Qualifications Associate degree or equivalent practical experience in Engineering, Quality, Technical Services, or a related technical discipline 2-5 years of experience in quality, engineering, laboratory, or technical service positions Able to perform technical tasks accurately and independently with minimal supervision Experience with laboratory testing, product evaluations, and tracking data related to quality and performance Skilled in creating technical reports, including charts and graphical analyses Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint for reporting and communication purposes Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks and coordinate testing schedules Proven problem-solving capabilities and attention to detail Effective written and verbal communication skills, including interactions with customers and internal teams
Pay:
