Job Description
Description We are looking for a Network Administrator to support and enhance the organization's core network environment in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. This role is responsible for maintaining secure, reliable connectivity across business systems while helping users and teams stay productive. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with routing, firewall administration, directory services, and local area network infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Administer and optimize network infrastructure to ensure stable, secure, and efficient day-to-day operations.
- Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Cisco routers and related networking equipment across the environment.
- Manage firewall platforms to protect systems, control traffic, and maintain adherence to security standards.
- Support Active Directory connectivity and network-related access needs for users, devices, and services.
- Diagnose LAN performance issues, resolve connectivity problems, and implement improvements that reduce downtime.
- Perform routine network maintenance, document configurations, and keep technical records current and accurate.
- Collaborate with internal teams to address infrastructure needs, support deployments, and resolve escalated technical issues. Requirements
- Hands-on experience administering enterprise network environments in a Network Administrator or similar role.
- Working knowledge of firewall technologies, including configuration, monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Proficiency with Cisco routers and broader Cisco networking concepts and equipment.
- Experience supporting Active Directory in relation to network authentication and access.
- Strong understanding of LAN architecture, switching, routing, and network troubleshooting practices.
- Ability to analyze technical issues, prioritize tasks effectively, and communicate solutions clearly.
- Familiarity with maintaining network documentation and following operational best practices.
