Job Description

IT Systems Administrator The Role Own the reliability, security, and continuous improvement of Crest Operations' hybrid IT environment. You will administer core infrastructure, solve complex technical problems, automate repetitive work, and maintain the documentation and controls required for stable operations. This role is suited to a systems expert who works independently, moves quickly, and expects technical decisions to be supported by logic, evidence, and defined standards. What You'll Own Administer Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, and Microsoft Entra Maintain hybrid infrastructure across VMware, Azure IaaS, and on-premises environments Manage identity, access, conditional-access policies, permissions, and Okta integrations Configure endpoints, compliance policies, applications, and software deployments using Intune and Workspace ONE Execute upgrades, patching, migrations, backups, recovery testing, and system retirements Monitor system health, investigate alerts, and resolve root causes Use PowerShell, APIs, and automation to improve reliability and reduce manual work Maintain accurate system configurations, network records, procedures, and compliance documentation Support infrastructure modernization, lifecycle planning, and platform optimization Manage tickets, changes, and service commitments in accordance with ITIL practices Identify security, reliability, licensing, and capacity risks before they affect the business What Success Looks Like Systems remain stable, secure, current, and recoverable Technical issues are resolved accurately and at the root-cause level Changes are tested, documented, and implemented with minimal disruption Repetitive processes are standardized or automated Leadership receives clear, evidence-based recommendations on risk, cost, and system improvements Required Experience 3-7 years of systems-administration experience in a Windows enterprise environment Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, Microsoft 365, and Entra Experience with VMware or Azure-based virtual infrastructure Experience managing endpoints through Intune or Workspace ONE Working knowledge of identity security, access controls, backup, recovery, and monitoring PowerShell scripting or comparable automation experience Ability to diagnose complex issues and make sound technical decisions independently Strong documentation practices and attention to configuration accuracy Preferred Experience Okta administration and SaaS provisioning API-based integrations and SaaS connectors Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, Power BI, and Power Automate Veeam, PRTG, SolarWinds, ServiceNow, or Zendesk Infrastructure migrations, modernization, or cloud-transition projects ITIL v4 Foundation certification Microsoft, Azure, VMware, Okta, Network+, or Security+ certifications Technical Environment Windows Server 2012-2022 | Active Directory | Group Policy | Microsoft 365 | Entra | Azure IaaS | VMware vSphere | Intune | Workspace ONE | Okta | PowerShell | Veeam | PRTG | SolarWinds Why Join Crest Operations?
