Overview LABUR is partnering with a client to find a Systems Administrator who will administer, maintain, secure, and improve their Microsoft 365, Azure, endpoint management, and identity management environments. This role owns day-to-day infrastructure operations, resolves complex technical issues, implements approved technology changes, automates routine processes, and ensures reliable, secure technology services. The Systems Administrator will work with the Senior Systems Administrator on modernization, cybersecurity, architecture planning, and strategic technology projects while providing guidance to junior team members. Responsibilities Administer Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, licensing, user provisioning, permissions, security groups, and account lifecycle activities following least-privilege standards. Manage Microsoft Intune and endpoint services including device compliance, deployment profiles, application deployments, software updates, device lifecycle management, and endpoint security practices. Administer Microsoft Entra ID users, groups, role assignments, multifactor authentication, Conditional Access, and role-based access controls based on approved standards. Monitor and respond to Microsoft Defender and related security alerts; support vulnerability management, endpoint security reviews, remediation, access reviews, and compliance evidence gathering. Troubleshoot and resolve advanced Microsoft 365, endpoint, connectivity, authentication, mail flow, Azure, and cloud infrastructure issues. Develop, modify, and maintain PowerShell scripts to automate recurring administrative tasks, improve reporting, and strengthen operational consistency. Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, configuration records, and runbooks supporting consistent administration and audit-ready operations. Lead small to mid-sized infrastructure, Microsoft 365, endpoint, and security projects including testing, deployment coordination, documentation, and change management. Coordinate with vendors and internal IT resources to resolve issues, implement changes, deliver Tier 2 and Tier 3 support, and mentor junior staff. Qualifications 3-5 years of hands-on systems administration or Microsoft 365 administration experience in a progressively responsible capacity. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft 365 administration including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive for Business, licensing, and related tools. Working knowledge of Microsoft Intune, endpoint compliance, device lifecycle management, Microsoft Entra ID, identity and access management, Conditional Access, and role-based access controls. Practical understanding of Microsoft Defender, security alerts, vulnerability remediation, data protection, and security control documentation. Proficiency with PowerShell scripting for administration, automation, and reporting, along with a foundational understanding of DNS, TCP/IP, VPN, HTTPS, firewalls, and networking concepts. Strong documentation habits, analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and clear written and verbal communication abilities. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; equivalent education, training, and experience considered. Microsoft 365, Azure, Endpoint, or Security certifications are a plus. Compensation Depending on fit and experience, base salary of $130,000 per year plus a potential bonus
