Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Systems Administrator to support on-site technology operations for a construction-focused organization in West Springfield, Massachusetts. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for a hands-on IT specialist who can maintain stable infrastructure, resolve technical issues efficiently, and provide dependable support to end users. The role requires strong expertise across systems administration, network support, security, and cloud-connected environments, along with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced setting.
Responsibilities:
  • Administer and support Windows-based server environments, user accounts, and directory services to ensure secure and reliable day-to-day operations.
  • Maintain network infrastructure, including firewalls and related connectivity components, while identifying and resolving performance or access issues.
  • Provide technical assistance for desktop systems, Windows 10 devices, and end-user hardware in an on-site office environment.
  • Oversee patching activities, system updates, and routine maintenance to keep infrastructure secure and operating effectively.
  • Manage backup processes and contribute to disaster recovery readiness by verifying data protection and recovery procedures.
  • Monitor cloud-connected services and core systems to support availability, performance, and business continuity.
  • Track and maintain IT assets, including equipment from vendors such as Dell Technologies, to support inventory accuracy and lifecycle management.
  • Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues, escalating or resolving problems with clear communication and sound technical judgment.
