MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented RHEL Systems Administrator (Cameo Administrator) to join our team in Warrenton, VA or Fort Washington. The RHEL Systems Administrator (Cameo Administrator) will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to support system administration, configuration, and optimization efforts within an AWS cloud-based RAID (Research, Analytics, Innovation, and Development) environment consisting of EC2 instances, docker swarms, and containers. This role supports the Cameo systems by maintaining server resource integrity, configuring virtual desktop environment sessions, and assisting security teams with software versioning, scanning, patching, and ATO/accreditation compliance. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Monitor and maintain Cameo systems while ensuring high availability of all server resources, hardware, and key infrastructure processes in a cloud environment. Administer, configure, optimize, and troubleshoot user profiles, sessions, and storage disks within a virtual desktop environment. Provide technical support and expertise to a large user community, managing user groups, permissions, and accessibility to the system. Create, maintain, and update critical engineering documentation, including SOPs and RunBooks, while managing a detailed backlog of work items in an Agile JIRA environment. Assist Information Systems Security and Engineering teams in implementing measures to ensure compliance with ATO, accreditation, and security standards through scanning and patching.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED with at least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems administration or a B.S. degree and at least 3 years of experience. Significant experience configuring and implementing systems using the RHEL command-line interface within a cloud-based infrastructure. Experience working across virtual desktop environments, including image creation, deployment, and session management using tools like XRDP or sessman. Experience maintaining work tasks, change management requests, and product backlogs utilizing JIRA within an Agile environment. Knowledge of Cameo NoMagic software systems and a baseline understanding of networking concepts and protocols. Experience with VDI, Linux command line, and systems monitoring. Must possess an active IAT Level II certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification. Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl to automate system tasks. Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet to maintain system baselines.
Clearance Requirements:
Must have a current/active TS/SCI. The projected compensation range for this position is $107,900.00-$179,400.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.
