This is a Funded and Immediate position! The salary for this position is $120,000-$130,000 which includes a $10,000 sign-on bonus, plus a $1,200 annual compliance bonus! Position Description:
The Quality Assurance Linux Administrator will support the implementation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and security compliance of enterprise Information Technology (IT) systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and maintaining an enterprise Rocky Linux 9 baseline, ensuring systems remain compliant with applicable security requirements through appropriate patching, configuration management, and system administration practices. The administrator will use Puppet or similar configuration management capabilities to maintain consistent and secure system configurations. The position also provides day-to-day support for client, server, storage, network, and related IT systems and assists with troubleshooting and resolution of hardware and software issues. Support and maintain an enterprise Rocky Linux 9 baseline Ensure Linux systems remain compliant with applicable security requirements Perform appropriate system patching and configuration updates to maintain security compliance Use Puppet or similar configuration management capabilities to maintain consistent system configurations Configure, administer, troubleshoot, and maintain Linux operating systems Install and load operating system software and implement operating system enhancements to improve reliability, security, and performance Create Bash shell scripts to support system stability, administration, and deployment repeatability Manage the daily configuration and operation of IT systems Support implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of IT systems Diagnose and resolve system hardware and software problems and remain involved throughout the resolution process Configure and maintain applicable network components Optimize system operations and resource utilization Perform system capacity analysis and planning Provide detailed analysis and feedback to management and internal customers regarding escalated technical issues
Required Experience and Qualifications:
TS/SCI with a Polygraph Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university is required. Four (4) additional years of relevant system administration experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree Level 1: Four (4) years experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required. Level 2: Nine (9) or more years of Linux experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity Knowledge of web technologies (html, xml, Java2E, etc...). Experience with virutalization and Puppet 3 or greater. Experience administering Linux operating systems, including Rocky Linux 9 or comparable enterprise Linux distributions Experience maintaining Linux systems in accordance with security and compliance requirements Experience with system patching and security-related configuration management Experience with Puppet or a similar configuration management capability Bash programming/scripting experience Perl and/or Python programming experience Experience with virtualization technologies
