Required Summary The MIL Corporationseeks aSystems Administrator (Systems Administration, Associate)to support a Federal Government client in Patuxent River, MD. This is aSystems Administrator role that will manage Microsoft Windows and Red Hat Linux based computer systems in support of the MQ-25 Carrier-Based Aerial-Refueling System program. This position currently requires an on-site schedule, with 5 days on-site and is eligible for Compressed Work Schedule (CWS). Schedule is subject to change based on company/contract requirements. Responsibilities Install, configure, administer,supportandmaintainMicrosoft Windows and Linux operatingsystems
Administer and support VMware server/clusterenvironment
Implement Risk Management Framework (RMF)methodologyon assignedsystems
Maintain and update operating system securitypatches
Maintain the system configuration standard using DoD based Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG)
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues, coordinate resolution with internal technical resources and externalvendors
Document maintenance,repairs,and test activities; as well as include documentation updates as an integral part of everyproject
Follow change control procedures during new implementations and changes to existingsystems
Create andmaintainsystem documentation, diagrams, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Research and implement automated processes to improve operationalefficiency
Analyze andmonitorthecapacityand performance of systems and software applications and make recommendations for improvements asnecessary
Perform other duties and projectsassigned Travel 20% - 35% to other sites, as needed Required Qualifications 7 years of experience in Microsoft Windows and/or Linux System Administration
Active Security+ CE certificationor Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
Extensive knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, and System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
Knowledge of Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) and Security Technical Implementation Guide(STIG)experience
Familiarity with Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS)
Familiarity with the RMF (Risk Management Framework) process
Ability to work independently and as part of ateam
Familiarity with SCIF environment constraints, including electronic device restrictions and secure data handling
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Must be flexible with work schedule to include occasional weekends
Frequently required to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs., and occasionallyrequiredto lift and/or move up to 40 lbs. Desired Qualifications Knowledge of Navy systems,Networks, and IT infrastructure
7 years of senior level System Administrator experience
Microsoft Certified:
Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associate is aplus Education Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education and/or advanced certification;a Master's degree will be considered in lieu of 3 years of professional experience Clearance All applicants for this positionmustpossess a currentTop-Secretclearance; please note that the clearance process considers financial background aspects. This estimate represents the typical salary range and is just one part of MIL's complete compensation package.
