Job Description

IT Systems Administrator Location:
Traverse City, Michigan (Onsite) | 6-Month Contract About the Role We are seeking an experienced IT Systems Administrator to provide hands-on technology support in a manufacturing environment. This role supports both office and manufacturing operations across end-user computing, Microsoft 365, Windows desktops, infrastructure, hardware deployment, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, self-directed, and comfortable working independently while partnering closely with internal IT teams, vendors, and managed service providers. Key Responsibilities Provide Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, Microsoft 365, Windows operating systems, and business applications. Install, configure, maintain, and support desktop computers, laptops, tablets, handheld devices, printers, and other peripherals. Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues, using structured troubleshooting and root cause analysis. Experience with Kronos timekeeping technology. Support IT infrastructure and manufacturing technology hardware used across office and production environments. Coordinate hardware deployments, refreshes, upgrades, and data migrations while minimizing disruption to end users. Maintain accurate hardware, software, licensing, and asset inventory records. Support network hardware and switching technologies and troubleshoot basic network and connectivity issues. Collaborate with internal IT teams, vendors, and managed service providers on installations, infrastructure projects, and issue resolution. Create and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and clear end-user guidance. Participate in after-hours support as needed. Required Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in Systems Administration, Desktop Support, or Corporate IT Support. Strong Microsoft 365 administration and end-user support experience. Hands-on experience supporting Windows desktop environments. Experience with Active Directory and desktop hardware deployment. Working knowledge of network switches and core networking fundamentals. Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills. Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, work independently, and take a proactive, team-oriented approach to problem solving. Bachelor's degree preferred. Contract & Work Environment 6-month contract assignment, with potential for extension or conversion to a full-time position. Onsite position at Traverse City, Michigan.
M-F 8 AM -5 PM
After-hours support may be required based on business needs.
Pay:
