Job Description

Information Technology Administrator Job Summary:
The Information Technology Administrator plans, establishes, and manages IT projects and systems, while managing and addressing end-user issues. The IT Administrator provides technical support, monitors and maintains on-premises and cloud/hybrid computer systems, troubleshoots user issues, and solves technical problems that may arise. This position is responsible for maintaining modern security processes and practices for the company, focusing on: system updates, best practice guidance, preventative measures, and end-user training on current cybersecurity topics such as phishing awareness and multi-factor authentication. Reports to : CFO Duties/Responsibilities Monitors and acts on Cybersecurity alerts
  • Monitors and evaluates local lan, network, local endpoints, firewalls, switches, wireless.
  • Manages and deploys Microsoft servers in a Hypervisor environment, including MS applications, hardware updates and patching.
  • Manages network Lan, routing and subnetting
  • Manages 2 remote sites connected via site to site vpn.
  • Manages MS terminal server.
  • Develops and maintains data backup systems
  • . Ensures data is retrievable and can be restored timely and efficiently
  • Develops, documents and test disaster recovery processes.
  • Sets up, maintains and manages information security systems, policies and procedures, applying modern practices such as multi-factor authentication and zero-trust principles
  • Develops and enforces security policies, including endpoint protection and incident response procedures
  • Ensures antivirus and endpoint detection and response (EDR) tools are up to date and effectively capture and remediate issues
  • Installs, configures, and maintains on-premises and cloud/hybrid networks that best serve the company
  • Plans, scopes, and manages IT projects from initiation through completion, including budgets, timelines, communication plans and resource needs
  • Coordinates with internal stakeholders and external vendors to keep IT projects on schedule and within scope
  • Works with software and cloud service vendors for efficient installations, upgrades and maintenance issues
  • Troubleshoots and solves system and hardware issues in timely manner
  • Develops and maintains software, server, and cloud subscription licensing policies
  • Efficiently and timely provides User Support- answering questions about hardware and software
  • Helps users troubleshoot issues
  • Trains staff on new hardware, software, and security-awareness topics
  • Responds in timely manner to technology request and issues
  • Recommends best hardware and software systems for our company needs
  • Recommends and implements best printer systems
  • Works with Production on automation Works with Maintenance on camera, door entrance and other automation devices to ensure -security
  • Follows all companies' policies, procedures, regulations and the employee handbook
  • Accepts and acts upon supervisory directions
  • Demonstrates flexibility, i.e. willingly takes on new tasks
  • Communicates effectively and professionally with internal/external customers and colleagues
  • Promotes a positive can-do attitude
  • Collaborates in cross functional teams
  • Uses project management tools and methods (e.g., task tracking and milestone planning) to document progress and report status to leadership
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:
Organized with attention to detail. Excellent analytical, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Thorough understanding of information technology procedures and practices. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Proficient with modern computer security systems and practices (endpoint detection and response, firewalls, multi-factor authentication, zero-trust principles). Working knowledge of project management fundamentals, including project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and status reporting. Familiarity with cloud and hybrid IT environments (Microsoft 365, Office 365, AWS).
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Computer or Information Science-related field preferred. At least five years of experience with MS servers including MS terminal servers, MS licensing architecture, backup policies and retention, DNS, DHCP required Experience leading or coordinating IT projects preferred
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
