2706 Summary Under direct supervision of Joplin Schools Technology Services, the apprentice from the Franklin Technology Center Computer Information Systems program will install, maintain, test, and repair systems. The student/employee will work with their program instructor, FTC Special Services Coordinator, and Technology Services to meet the competencies/goals of their apprenticeship program. Duties and Responsibilities Performs basic problem solving and assistance on various software applications and hardware systems. Provide individual instruction and/or training to users on new or updated technologies. Performs routine technical assistance and maintenance duties. Document projects and processes. Assists with tracking inventory levels of equipment, materials, and software. Performs routine technological systems support, maintenance, and testing for proper upkeep of systems; troubleshoots and resolves general system hardware, and software. Assists with the installation, configuration and maintenance of computers, workstations and/or other related equipment and devices. Maintain current knowledge of technology, equipment, applicable laws, regulations, standards and/or systems. Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned. Working Conditions Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment. Moderate physical activity.
