Job Description
UGA Finance is hiring a Systems Administrator I to help maintain, secure, and optimize our enterprise infrastructure. Operating within the financial services sector, this role gives you hands-on ownership of critical IT functions. What You'll Do (Your Impact)
Identity & Cloud Management:
Administer Microsoft 365 environments and manage identity and access control through Azure AD / Microsoft Entra ID and On-Premises AD.Security & Patching:
Own the patching lifecycle, manage core networking, and oversee endpoint security to ensure compliance with strict industry regulations.Operational Support:
Keep day-to-day infrastructure running smoothly while strictly adhering to established change management and compliance controls.What We're Looking For Experience:
1-3 years of related IT experience, including a strong foundation in help desk support, networking, and security.Core Technical Skills:
Hands-on experience with Azure AD, On-Premises AD, and Microsoft 365 administration.Preferred Tools:
Experience with Intune, endpoint management, and Microsoft Defender (or similar SIEM environments) is highly valued.Regulated Environment Advantage:
Prior experience working within PCI, SOC, or ISO-regulated frameworks is a major plus.Principle Responsibilities:
Identity & Cloud Administration Administer the Microsoft 365 tenant, including user lifecycle management. Manage Azure AD / Entra ID identity objects, group policies, and access provisioning. Execute onboarding and offboarding processes independently. Support Conditional Access policy monitoring (changes require approval). Assist in identity governance and least-privilege enforcement. Utilize privileged access management (PIM) for elevated tasks. Endpoint & Security Operations Manage Intune device enrollment, policy enforcement, and device posture compliance. Administer Microsoft Defender policies and assist with alert triage. Own endpoint patching lifecycle across Windows environments. Monitor system alerts and escalate anomalies. Infrastructure Operations Support Assist with Active Directory administration under delegated OU-level permissions (elevation via PIM when required). Support backup monitoring and disaster recovery testing. Participate in system monitoring and service reliability initiatives. Assist with automation initiatives and PowerShell scripting efforts. Compliance & Audit Support Assist with evidence collection forPCI DSS, SOC
2, andISO 27001
audits. Participate in audit walkthroughs. Follow established security policies and change management procedures. Contribute to documentation of standard operating procedures.Benefits
