Job Description

We are seeking an Enrollment Navigator for our Student Support Services-ESL (SSS-ESL) Program. The responsibilities of an Enrollment Navigator is to assist with enrollment of prospective program applicants and guide them through the application process. The Enrollment Navigator reports to the SSS-ESL Director. This is a grant funded, part-time, hourly position.
Duties:
Assist the SSS-ESL Director with developing and implementing an effective process for identification and recruitment of prospective applicants. Assist prospective applicants throughout the enrollment process in the program, from initial inquiry through decision notifications. Assess the eligibility of prospective applicants and conduct intakes to evaluate the academic and support needs of students as stated in their program application. Plan, schedule, and participate in on-campus recruitment events and special programs to engage with prospective applicants. Participate in all phases of recruitment and enrollment process, including facilitating presentations, phone and email outreach, and social media initiatives for the SSS-ESL Program. Maintain accurate documentation of recruitment procedures, track recruitment data and document students' need for services. Provide proactive and strategic outreach to accepted students to maintain regular contact with staff and connect them to college and community resources for additional support. Perform other duties as assigned.
Q ualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree preferred. Two years of related experience, preferably in education. Good computer skills including knowledge of web-based communication tools and social networking platforms. Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with prospective students and within the college community. Must be very organized, detail oriented and maintain strict confidentiality and professionalism. Bilingual English/Spanish is preferred. Ability to work some evenings and weekends, as program requires. The completion of a background check will be required for the selected candidate.
Compensation :
Compensation is determined by a variety of criteria, including but not limited to, previous relevant experience, education level, and certifications. The maximum hourly pay for this position is $16.

Earn 1 hour of sick leave for every 30 hours worked with a maximum of 40 hours of leave per benefit year. (Eligible to use after successful completion of probationary period.)
