About Skyeton Skyeton builds long-endurance fixed-wing unmanned aerial systems (UAS) for defense, intelligence, surveillance, and infrastructure monitoring. Our Raybird platforms have logged hundreds of thousands of operational flight hours. We are growing our U.S. operations in Fayetteville, NC and North Las Vegas, NV. The Role You will be Skyeton's hands-on IT lead for all U.S. sites, covering three areas: IT and infrastructure, business-systems development, and cybersecurity and compliance. You will start as an individual contributor, with room to grow into leading a small IT and security team. What you'll do IT & Infrastructure Manage the full lifecycle of laptops, desktops, mobile devices, and peripherals, and provide Tier 1-2 support across all sites. Administer Microsoft 365 / cloud identity: accounts, MFA, conditional access, licensing, and permissions. Run onboarding and offboarding with HR, including same-day access removal. Own the network at every site (switching, VLANs, firewalls, wireless, cabling, VPN and zero-trust access) and keep production equipment segmented from the office network. Administer Linux and Windows servers and cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code. Own backups and disaster recovery (with tested restores), system monitoring, and asset and license inventory. Set up IT for new sites and facility build-outs. Business-Systems Development Build and maintain our ERP (Python/JavaScript), leadership dashboards, and integrations with accounting, expense, and HR systems. Use AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Copilot, Cursor) to move fast, while personally reviewing, testing, and taking responsibility for everything that ships.

252.204-7012, CMMC, and ITAR/EAR, including the System Security Plan and POA&M. Protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), including
FIPS 140-3
validated encryption where required. Lead incident response, security awareness training, phishing simulations, and access reviews. Vendors & Reporting Manage IT vendors, carriers, and service providers; support purchasing and budget tracking. Report on uptime, security posture, and project delivery to the VP of Engineering and Manufacturing. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent experience. 4+ years combining hands-on IT administration with real software development. Python (preferred) development skills, including code you have shipped to production. Strong code review skills and experience with Git, merge requests, and
CI/CD. REST API
integration experience. Windows endpoint and Microsoft 365 / Entra ID (or Google Workspace) administration. Linux server administration.
Solid networking knowledge:
TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing, VLANs, firewalls, VPN, and wireless. Practical cybersecurity skills and familiarity with at least one compliance framework (NIST
SP 800-171, CMMC, ISO
27001, or similar). Willingness to work with AI coding agents, without either refusing them or blindly trusting them. Clear technical writing and strong prioritization skills. High integrity and discretion with sensitive financial, payroll, and export-controlled information. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. Nice to Have CompTIA Security+ (or willingness to earn it within 12 months; we will pay for it). Other certifications such as Network+, CySA+, CCNA, Microsoft SC/AZ, GIAC, or CISSP are a plus. implementation or CMMC assessment preparation. AWS experience (GovCloud a plus) and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation). ERP development experience (SAP, NetSuite, Odoo, Dynamics, or open source). Administration of self-hosted GitLab or a similar CI platform. Aerospace, defense, or regulated manufacturing experience; startup experience as a one-person IT department. Active or recent security clearance; U.S. military veteran or DoD experience; familiarity with the Fort Bragg area.
