Job Description

JOB:
Junior System Administrator At Family Choice of New York, technology helps our clinical, field, and administrative teams stay connected, responsive, and focused on serving the people who depend on us. We are looking for a Junior Systems Administrator who enjoys solving problems, supporting people, and keeping systems running smoothly in a mission-driven healthcare environment. In this role, you will be a trusted technology resource for employees across the organization. You will help troubleshoot day-to-day issues, support systems and applications, assist with onboarding and offboarding, and partner with teammates and vendors to keep our technology services reliable and secure. The right candidate is approachable, organized, curious, and comfortable balancing urgent support needs with ongoing projects. What You'll Do
  • Provide friendly, responsive Tier 1 and Tier 2 technical support for clinical, field, and administrative employees.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, network, printing, mobile device, remote access, and connectivity issues.
  • Help new team members get started by setting up accounts, access, workstations, mobile devices, and equipment, and assist with secure offboarding when employees leave.
  • Manage help desk tickets in Desk365, with special attention to urgent issues that may affect clinical services.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and upgrade desktops, laptops, tablets, smartphones, printers, scanners, and peripheral equipment.
  • Administer and maintain Windows Server infrastructure, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, file services, and print services.
  • Monitor server health, performance, backups, storage utilization, and system availability, and help resolve alerts or interruptions.
  • Support Microsoft 365, Microsoft Entra ID, email, multifactor authentication, identity access, and security permissions.
  • Administer mobile device management platforms such as Microsoft Intune or comparable solutions.
  • Support electronic medical record systems, clinical applications, secure messaging, telehealth, and other healthcare technology platforms.
  • Work collaboratively with internal leaders, clinical departments, software vendors, telecommunications providers, and other partners to solve problems and improve service.
  • Keep clear, accurate documentation for incidents, service requests, assets, configurations, procedures, infrastructure diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
  • Participate in after-hours maintenance, emergency support, and an on-call rotation as needed. What We're Looking For
  • Associate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience in IT support, desktop administration, systems administration, or a related technical role.
  • Confidence resolving escalated Tier 2 technical issues with limited supervision.
  • Experience supporting healthcare, nursing, or another regulated environment is preferred.
  • Network administration certificate preferred.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, Microsoft credentials, VMware credentials, or similar certifications are a plus.

Pay:
$26.92 - $33.34 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
