Islandwide Permanent Junior Executive 1 year exp Engineering $3,500to$4,500 Monthly 2 applicationsPosted 07 Jul 2026Closing on 06 Aug 2026 Roles & Responsibilities Field Service Engineer Overview We are seeking a hands-on and technically competent Field Service Engineer to support production, installation, commissioning, testing, and maintenance activities for marine and industrial systems. The successful candidate will work closely with customers, project teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with quality standards and technical requirements. Key Responsibilities Field Service & Technical Support Carry out production, servicing, repairs, installation, Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), field construction activities, plant commissioning, sea trials, and inspections of customer-supplied equipment. Perform troubleshooting, maintenance, and technical support for installed systems and equipment. Ensure all work is executed in accordance with technical specifications, installation manuals, and acceptance criteria. Project Execution Coordinate site activities and liaise with customers regarding installation requirements, including hot work, welding, carpentry, cabling, and other site-related activities. Support project execution by requisitioning required equipment, materials, and tools. Assist engineers and project teams in preparing technical drawings, designs, and documentation based on customer requirements. Identify and communicate additional customer requirements or project scope changes to management. Quality, Safety & Compliance Maintain accurate project documentation and ensure compliance with ISO standards and company procedures. Prepare and adhere to Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Work Method Statements (WMS), Permit-to-Work (PTW), and other safety requirements. Identify, document, and report quality issues relating to products, services, or installation activities. Ensure proper handling, calibration, and usage of inspection, measuring, and testing equipment. Continuous Improvement Assist in developing and improving field support processes across all product lines. Support process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and service quality. Perform additional duties as assigned by Managers and Engineers. Requirements Qualifications Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline. Relevant experience in field service, commissioning, installation, maintenance, or marine/offshore engineering environments is preferred. Skills & Competencies Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation. Familiarity with FAT, SAT, commissioning, and inspection procedures. Knowledge of ISO documentation, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), Work Method Statements (WMS), and Permit-to-Work systems. Good communication and customer-facing skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team. Willingness to travel and work offshore, onboard vessels, or at customer sites when required. Preferred Experience Marine, offshore, oil & gas, shipyard, industrial automation, or engineering services experience. Experience with sea trials, vessel commissioning, and onboard installation projects. Familiarity with electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, or control systems.
