7+ Years Job Overview We are looking for an experienced Snowflake Administrator to manage, maintain, secure, and optimize Snowflake environments. The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience with Snowflake administration, security, user and role management, performance tuning, monitoring, and cloud data platforms. Responsibilities Administer and manage Snowflake accounts, databases, schemas, warehouses, and users . Manage roles, privileges, RBAC, authentication, and access controls . Monitor Snowflake environments and troubleshoot performance, availability, and connectivity issues. Perform warehouse sizing, workload management, and performance optimization . Monitor and optimize Snowflake compute and storage costs . Configure and support Snowpipe, data loading, and ingestion processes . Manage Snowflake integrations with cloud platforms and external applications. Support data replication, failover, backup, and disaster recovery activities. Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Shell, or similar scripting technologies . Implement and maintain Snowflake security best practices. Monitor query performance and identify opportunities for optimization. Support database migrations and environment refresh activities. Work with data engineers, developers, architects, and security teams to resolve technical issues. Maintain documentation for Snowflake configurations, processes, security, and operational procedures. Required Skills 7+ years of IT experience with strong Snowflake administration experience. Hands-on experience as a Snowflake Administrator . Strong knowledge of Snowflake architecture and administration . Experience with RBAC, users, roles, privileges, and security . Strong SQL skills. Experience with Snowflake warehouses, databases, schemas, stages, and file formats . Experience with Snowpipe and data loading . Knowledge of Snowflake performance tuning and query optimization. Experience with monitoring, troubleshooting, and cost optimization. Experience working with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform cloud environments. Scripting experience with Python or Shell . Knowledge of backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery concepts. Preferred Skills Experience with Terraform or Infrastructure as Code . Knowledge of CI/CD and DevOps practices . Experience with Snowflake security and governance . Knowledge of tools such as Tableau, Power BI, Informatica, DBT, or ETL platforms . Snowflake certification is a plus. Education Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
