The position focuses on maintaining discovery coverage, resolving authentication issues, and supporting infrastructure data collection processes. Working closely with network and hosting teams, the Infrastructure Discovery Analyst helps optimize discovery operations, maintain credential integrity, support service graph integrations, and document processes that contribute to broader ServiceNow modernization efforts. Core Responsibilities Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve credential-related issues across network devices and server infrastructure using technologies such as SNMP, SSH, WMI, and WinRM. Manage and validate access to network and hosting environments to ensure complete infrastructure scanning coverage. Triage and diagnose connectivity and authentication issues across routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and server platforms. Collaborate with network and hosting teams to maintain accurate credential repositories and access policies. Support service graph connector configurations to ensure proper data flow from infrastructure sources. Manage and optimize discovery schedules to align with maintenance windows and scanning requirements. Document credential management processes, infrastructure issues, and resolution procedures. Provide subject matter expertise on network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and related device management. Support Windows Server, Linux/Unix, and virtualized hosting environments, including VMware and Hyper-V platforms. Manage credential access across diverse network and server device types and ensure adherence to established access policies. Troubleshoot enterprise connectivity and authentication issues involving SNMP v1/v2c/v3, SSH, Telnet, WMI, WinRM, and NetBIOS protocols. Analyze infrastructure accessibility issues related to IP address management, network segmentation, and firewall configurations. Independently triage infrastructure issues and escalate concerns appropriately to support operational stability. Provide subject matter expertise on network topology, device configurations, and server environments. Support broader ServiceNow modernization program objectives as needed. Essential Qualifications, Skills, and Technologies CompTIA Network+ certification or equivalent certification. Scripting experience using PowerShell or Python. Experience with infrastructure discovery or asset scanning tools. Familiarity with CMDB concepts and Configuration Item (CI) classification. Strong expertise in network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and related device management. Strong expertise in server and hosting environments, including Windows Server, Linux/Unix administration, VMware, and Hyper-V. Hands-on experience with credential management across diverse network and server device types. Deep understanding of network protocols, including SNMP v1/v2c/v3, SSH, Telnet, WMI, WinRM, and NetBIOS. Experience troubleshooting connectivity and authentication issues in enterprise environments. Familiarity with IP address management, network segmentation, and firewall rules affecting device accessibility. Ability to work independently, triage infrastructure issues, and escalate appropriately. Experience working in enterprise-scale environments with diverse and heterogeneous device types. Experience working within ITIL-aligned processes. Preferred Skills or Experience Experience with ServiceNow ITOM Visibility (Discovery) as a supporting tool.
