Volkswagen Service Foreman Job Summary:
The Volkswagen Service Foreman oversees daily shop operations, provides technical support to service technicians, ensures repairs are completed accurately and efficiently, and maintains compliance with Volkswagen factory procedures. This role acts as a liaison between the service advisors, technicians, parts department, and service management to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities- Assist advisors with dispatching to ensure jobs can be completed within the promised time.
- Provide technical guidance and diagnostic assistance for complex vehicle repairs and assist techs with proper documentation and warranty claim coding.
- Keep up to date with Volkswagen technologies and repair procedures.
- Perform final quality control inspections on completed repairs.
- Assist management with technician productivity forecasting, tracking and growth.
- Enforce the maintenance of a safe, clean, and organized shop environment.
- Support and help coordinate technician training and development, including Volkswagen certification programs.
- Assist in recruiting and interviewing new technicians and providing performance reviews.
- Create a shop culture that rewards initiative, productivity, and fosters personal and technical skill development and technician retention. Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required; technical or automotive degree preferred.
- Extensive experience as an automotive technician, preferably with Volkswagen or other European vehicles.
- Volkswagen factory certification preferred or required.
- ASE Master Technician certification preferred.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Leadership and team management experience.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Required Skills
