JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead Security Service Technician to oversee the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of advanced security systems across various client sites. This role is vital in ensuring the integrity and reliability of physical and electronic security measures, including alarm systems, CCTV surveillance, access control, and low-voltage electrical wiring. A key aspect of this role is to provide exceptional customer service to ensure client satisfaction and system performance excellence. Your expertise in electrical systems, technical troubleshooting, and system design will drive successful project execution and ongoing support. The position requires handling after-hours on-call duties approximately 6-8 weeks per year.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Respond to and address customer service tickets promptly Replace malfunctioning devices as needed Troubleshoot complex issues related to low-voltage electrical wiring, computer hardware interfacing with security equipment, and network connectivity to ensure seamless system operation. Provide technical troubleshooting support for physical security system failures or malfunctions, including sensor calibration, CCTV feed issues, and alarm activation problems. Communicate effectively with clients to explain system features, perform site assessments for security upgrades or new installations, and deliver exceptional customer service throughout project lifecycles. Program electronic security devices Perform maintenance activities to ensure security systems remain functional Read and interpret scopes of work and technical drawings Travel regularly to regional jobsites Participate in manufacturer training enhance skills
QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS REQUIRED
Minimum of five years' experience in security, video surveillance, access control, and/or intrusion systems Proven experience as a service technician specializing in electrical security systems with demonstrated leadership capabilities. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience in low-voltage electrical systems installation and troubleshooting. Proficiency in reading schematics, technical drawings, blueprints, and interpreting electrical wiring diagrams. Extensive knowledge of CCTV surveillance technology, alarm & access control systems, sensors, fire alarms, and telecommunication infrastructure. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment (such as multimeters), and remote access software for diagnostics. Familiarity with network configurations related to security devices including computer networking principles. Ability to troubleshoot complex electronic equipment issues related to computer hardware interfacing with security systems. Construction experience or background in physical security system integration is highly desirable. Excellent customer service skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving in fast-paced environments.
