Maintain high levels of system uptime, performance, and flexibility. Establish an appropriately sized, process-oriented server, storage, and virtualized on-premise and cloud infrastructure to support the variety of business unit needs. Work with and assist other systems administrators, technicians, and management to achieve Port Authority goals.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for the planning, installation, support, maintenance, and utilization of all virtualized and physical server infrastructure. Responsible for the planning, installation, support, maintenance, and utilization of all storage infrastructure. Assist with server certificate installations and renewals.
Job Requirements:
High school diploma or GED.
Minimum:
Two (2) years of technical school/Associates Degree from an accredited school with eight (8) years of relevant experience; or four (4) year related college degree from an accredited school with six (6) years of relevant experience; or ten (10) years of directly related experience. Expert skills in Windows Server architecture and configuration, Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy, Azure, Microsoft 365, and other Microsoft-based administrative functions. Strong knowledge of VMware vSphere, Nutanix AHV, and/or other virtualization systems administration. Strong knowledge of storage systems and both 3-tier and hyperconverged compute clusters. Knowledge of best practices with infrastructure design, setup, administration, and maintenance. Knowledge of networking and Linux administration knowledge of networking and Linux administration.
Preferred Attributes:
Project leadership experience. Experience with supporting Help Desk Software and Server Development and Automation Software. Experience with working in an ITIL-based environment or introducing change control and configuration management. Ability to mentor and coach technical and non-technical team members.
