Job Summary:
The Cloud Systems Administrator will support the Director of IT Operations in designing, implementing, and maintaining the core IT infrastructure for NASPO and its sister organization, PPA/RFxP. This position will be instrumental in building, scaling, and securing a modern cloud environment centered on Microsoft 365, Intune, SharePoint, and OneDrive. This is a hands-on position that blends day-to-day administration with ongoing improvement and project-based work, requiring both thoughtful problem-solving and technical execution. The ideal candidate is a well-rounded systems administrator who is comfortable working across a variety of technologies, enjoys building and improving systems, and approaches their work with strong attention to security and risk.
Essential Functions:
Administer, maintain, and secure core IT infrastructure, with a focus on Microsoft 365 and supporting cloud-based services. Partner with the NASPO Director of IT Operations in developing and implementing IT policies, procedures, and services for both NASPO and PPA/RFxP to ensure compliance with the organization's long-term IT strategy and overall goals. Apply security best practices in day-to-day administration, including identity and access management (IAM), device compliance, endpoint protection, and least privilege access. Monitor system performance and reliability and proactively identify and resolve issues. Serve as the primary point of contact between
NASPO IT
Operations and PPA/RFxP stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment of technology solutions. Provide tier 2 support and assist with more complex escalations as needed.
Skills, Experience, and Qualifications:
Must be able to perform duties accurately and independently. Must be able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines. Must be able to work with members and associates in person or over the phone, in a courteous, pleasant, professional, and efficient manner. Ability to handle multiple tasks, projects, and priorities effectively and professionally. Associate's degree and/or 5 years if applicable experience Technical certifications a plus (hardware/software tech support preferable)
Travel Requirements:
Intermittent travel to company events will be required.
