Job Description

Job description: Flatwork Installation & Service Technician (Full-Time, Travel Required) Remote with Nationwide Travel Service & Installation Team Full-Time | Mostly Day Shift Overtime Available and Required Client is seeking a Flatwork Installation & Service Technician who enjoys hands-on work, problem-solving, and interacting directly with customers. In this role, you will travel to client sites to install, troubleshoot, service, and repair automated systems and equipment. You will help ensure advanced machinery operates efficiently while providing excellent customer service and technical expertise. Key Responsibilities Travel to customer sites to install, repair, and service automated material handling systems Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and software issues in production equipment Inspect and test systems during and after installation or repairs Replace or repair components including: Hydraulic and pneumatic systems Electrical panels and control boards Valves, gauges, cylinders, and bearings Conduct operator training for end users and maintenance teams Provide spare parts support and maintenance documentation Collaborate with engineering and technical support teams on complex issues Prepare accurate and timely service reports Qualifications Technical diploma or equivalent experience in mechanical, electrical, or automation fields 2+ years of experience in field service or equipment installation preferred Strong understanding of industrial machinery and automation systems Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics Willingness to travel frequently (up to 100%) Strong interpersonal and professional communication skills Valid driver s license and passport (or ability to obtain one) Benefits Competitive pay based on experience Daily travel per diem and expense reimbursement Paid training and ongoing professional development Branded workwear, hand tools, smartphone, and laptop User-friendly mobile apps for administrative tasks Health, dental, and vision insurance Retirement plan options Paid time off and holidays Opportunities for long-term career growth
