JOB DESCRIPTION WHAT YOU WILL DO
The IT System Administrator designs and oversees local area networks, wide area networks, and network segments including installing, upgrading, and monitoring software and hardware.
Job duties include:
Provide remote and on-site technical assistance to executive management and end-users on IT related matters at Fortrex Corporate Headquarters ("HQ") location including but not limited to: Setup user accounts & workstations. Manage network servers and network tools. Install, configure, and maintain software and hardware. Monitor systems and conduct patch, vulnerability and security management when directed. Provide troubleshooting and first call resolution for all Fortrex technology environments where possible. Utilize KACE or similar platforms to log, track, resolve IT incidents and service requests. Assist with Microsoft Office 365 suite client applications, including SharePoint. Microsoft 365 Admin portal control. Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft Intune MDM deployments. Resolve networking issues and implement remediation solutions. Manage tasks in Microsoft Entra. Maintain, configure, troubleshoot, and assist IT infrastructure and users, including PC hardware, laptops, printers, tablets, VPN, software systems, and Audio/Visual (A/V) systems at Corporate HQ. Engage with vendors to maintain and manage our critical applications and systems. Assist with asset management and proper allocation of desktops, laptops, printers, phones, and tablets. Contribute to the continuous improvement of IT processes and procedures. Perform other duties as assigned.
YOUR MUST HAVES
Must be 18 years of age or older. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field or two or more of the following certifications in lieu of degree: CompTIA A+, CCNA, CompTIA Security, Microsoft MTA, or other MS certs. 2 or more years of IT System Administration experience. Familiarity with various operating systems and platforms. Resourcefulness and problem-solving aptitude. Excellent communication and customer service skills.

OUR ENVIRONMENT
This is a hybrid role, partially based at the Corporate Headquarters, combining time in a traditional office setting with remote work from your professional home office. You will be expected to work on-site at a minimum of three days a week. However, for the first 30 days, you will need to be in the office all five business days of the week. The position requires sitting for extended periods of time while working on a computer.
