Full-time, Hourly Company Overview This company is a Managed Service Provider providing comprehensive technology services to small businesses. We specialize in meeting the needs of businesses with 40 or fewer computer users, with a sweet spot of about 5-10 computer users, offering a unique skill set that ensures cost-effective, high-quality service. We focus on strategic technology selection, implementation, and support across key areas, including computer and network stability, cybersecurity, data backup, cloud services, and remote access. With decades of experience, especially in navigating the evolving cloud landscape, we bring clarity and confidence to our clients. Position Overview This position provides advanced technical support and serves as a key technical escalation resource for our small business and residential clients. Working as part of a small, collaborative team, this role handles complex Level 2/3 technical issues, provides backup coverage for day-to-day help desk support, and plays a key role in managing and improving centralized services, technical systems, and client technology environments. The role also supports and leads technical projects, troubleshooting, and ongoing improvements to client and internal systems. While primarily remote, the position occasionally requires on-site visits in the Denver Metro area for installations, troubleshooting, equipment setup, and other client support needs. Key Responsibilities- Serve as a Level 2/3 escalation resource for complex client issues, while providing backup coverage for day-to-day help desk support as needed.
- Deliver excellent customer service through clear communication and timely follow-up.
- Escalate complex issues appropriately internally and externally while maintaining ownership of client communication.
- Develop deep familiarity with ITC's centralized services and technical systems, and take an increasingly active role in their management, maintenance, and improvement.
- Support monitoring and alert management, including troubleshooting alerts, refining workflows, and maintaining or developing scripts, monitors, jobs, and other automations as needed.
- Lead and participate in the evaluation, testing, implementation, rollout, and ongoing improvement of tools and services within ITC's technology stack.
- Lead and participate in client technical projects, including system upgrades, migrations, deployments, onboarding, and other professional services work.
- Support proactive technology management by identifying risks, maintenance needs, technical improvements, and opportunities across client environments.
- Collaborate with leadership on technical standards, best practices, and Technology Alignment Management (TAM) initiatives.
- Serve as a technical resource and mentor to other technical staff through collaboration, troubleshooting, training, documentation, and knowledge sharing.
- Update and create knowledge base articles, technical documentation, SOPs, and process guidance to improve efficiency and support consistent service delivery.
- Support and lead internal improvement initiatives, tool optimization, and standardization efforts.
- Document work and time clearly and completely in the ticketing system.
- Maintain productivity by identifying and completing value-added work without the need for constant direction.
- Work effectively both autonomously and while collaborating with the team and external service providers.
- Maintain and expand technical expertise through ongoing professional development, with particular focus on ITC's core technology stack and evolving technologies relevant to our clients.
- Participate in occasional on-site client, evening, or weekend work for technical support, maintenance, or project needs.
- Access, use, and protect confidential information responsibly and in compliance with security and privacy standards. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 4 years of relevant work experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and relevant work experience.
- Demonstrated experience providing advanced technical support and troubleshooting in client environments, including complex Level 2/3 issues.
- Experience and success with client-facing roles
- particularly in service or support environments.
- Strong working knowledge of Windows 11, Microsoft 365, endpoint management and monitoring, security, backup, small-business network environments, centralized IT management systems, and common business technology environments.
- Experience administering and troubleshooting cloud-based systems and services.
- Working knowledge of object-oriented scripting language (like PowerShell), with the ability to understand, troubleshoot, and modify existing scripts and develop basic scripts or automations as needed.
- Ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues independently, exercise sound judgment, and recognize when collaboration or escalation is appropriate.
- Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and provide guidance, knowledge sharing, and support to other technical staff, clients, and others.
- Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, time management, and follow-through.
- Ability to perform on-site technical setup work, including lifting and moving computers, monitors, and related equipment, and accessing equipment under desks or in confined spaces.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for client site visits.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English sufficient to communicate with clients, document work, and collaborate internally. Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment, particularly supporting multiple small-business client environments.
- Experience with technical project planning, implementation, or operational improvement in an IT or MSP environment.
- Working knowledge of modern AI tools and their practical application in internal and client environments.
- Project management or operational efficiency experience in an IT or MSP environment.
- Experience with administrative tasks associated with Microsoft 365 and/or Google Workspace.
- Experience with the following tools/devices:
- Kaseya / Datto Products and Services
- PSA Systems (Autotask PSA a plus)
- Documentation Systems (IT Glue a plus)
- Security and Backup Systems (Datto AV & EDR, Datto Endpoint Backup v2, and/or RocketCyber MDR a plus)
- Identity and access management (Microsoft Entra ID a plus)
- Microsoft Intune
- Google Workspace
- Apple macOS
- Apple and Android Phones
Windows PowerShell Compensation:
