The Northrop Grumman CIDO Classified Solutions team is seeking a Storage Systems Administrator to support information system lifecycle activities. The selected candidate will be required to work on-site, full-time at our Melbourne, FL location.Note:
Due to the classified nature of the work being performed, this position does not offer any virtual or telecommute working options. Applicants are encouraged to apply, only if they are willing to work on-site. Responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:- Support and maintain storage in the primary data center in Melbourne, FL, and the disaster recovery site in California.
- Install, configure, manage and maintain storage and backup systems to ensure data integrity, availability, and security.
- Storage and backup solutions are in multiple lab environments operating in support of the designated program in Melbourne, FL and Palmdale, CA.
- Work closely with Infrastructure teammates to support and enhance our infrastructure, troubleshoot issues, and implement best practices.
- Identify, analyze, and resolve program support deficiencies.
- Develop and recommend corrective actions.
- Manage and maintain storage and backup systems, including SAN, NAS, and cloud storage solutions.
- Monitor system performance and ensure high availability and reliability.
- Perform regular data backups and recovery operations.
- Implement and maintain disaster recovery plans.
- Troubleshoot and resolve storage and backup-related issues.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to support overall infrastructure.
- Ensure compliance with data protection and security policies.
- Document system configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Regular patching and upgrade cycles. This position may filled at a higher level based on the qualifications listed below. Basic Qualifications for Level 3:
- Master's Degree with 3 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 7 years of relevant experience; OR a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 9 years of relevant experience is required
- Must have a Security+ (or greater) certification
- Candidates must have a current US Government Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Top Secret clearance in order to be considered
- Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of employment
- Experience working with storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, and cloud storage
- Experience with backup software and tools (Cohesity, Backup Exec)
- Exhibits strong understanding of data protection and disaster recovery principles Basic Qualifications for Level 4:
- Master's Degree with 6 years of relevant experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of relevant experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 10 years of relevant experience; OR a High School Diploma (or equivalent) with 12 years of relevant experience is required
- Must have a Security+ (or greater) certification
- Candidates must have a current US Government Secret level security clearance (at a minimum) with the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Top Secret clearance in order to be considered
- Candidates must have the ability to obtain, and maintain, access to Special Programs as a condition of employment
- Experience working with storage technologies such as SAN, NAS, and cloud storage
- Experience with backup software and tools (Cohesity, Backup Exec)
- Exhibits strong understanding of data protection and disaster recovery principles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology
- Active Top Secret, TS/SCI, Polygraph, or SAP/SAR access would be nice to have
- 10 years of Server Administration experience
- Relevant certification in areas such as CompTIA Storage+,
VMware Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified:
Azure Administrator- Additional Operating System Environment Certification (ex. MCSA, MCSE, Linux+, RHCSA, Net+, CCNA, VMware Certified, etc.)
- Broad knowledge of systems administrations to include multiple technologies such as Windows, Linux, Cisco, VMware, NetAp
- Scripting using Bash, PowerCLI, PowerShell
- Experience with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V)
- Knowledge of scripting and automation (e.g., Ansible Automation, Python)
- Support Dell and Netapp storage appliances including:
- Unstructured CIFS and NFS shares
- Block storage for Broadcom virtual machines
- S3 object storage: Netapp Storagegrid, Dell Objectscale (ECS)
