Job Overview The IT Systems Administrator 2 Administer and maintain servers, applications, cloud services, and infrastructure components to support business operations. This role collaborates with internal stakeholders to support business technology needs and ensure the reliable operation, maintenance, and support of IT and Operational Technology (OT) systems. The ideal candidate should possess a strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software applications, cloud services, and Operational Technology (OT) environments, and be capable of managing multiple projects in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities Systems Administration:
Administer, monitor, maintain, troubleshoot, and support servers, cloud services, applications, and infrastructure components to ensure reliable business operations.
Implementation & Configuration:
Assist with the deployment, configuration, testing, and maintenance of infrastructure and applications.
System Support & Maintenance :
Provide ongoing technical support and maintenance for implemented solutions, ensuring high availability and performance.
SCADA & Operational Technology Support :
Support and troubleshoot SCADA and related Operational Technology (OT) systems, working with internal teams and vendors to maintain system availability, connectivity, security, and integration with enterprise IT systems.
Collaboration & Mentorship :
Work closely with internal teams, including development, infrastructure, and operations, to ensure that IT solutions align with company goals. Collaborate with ither IT team members in assisting with troubleshooting, technical development, and adoption of IT best practices.
Vendor Management :
Engage with third-party vendors for software and hardware procurement, ensuring adherence to project timelines and budgets.
Project Management :
Participate in and support IT projects from initiation to completion, including planning, resource allocation, and tracking project deliverables.
Documentation :
Create and maintain technical documentation for all implemented solutions and changes, ensuring compliance with IT policies and procedures.
Training :
Provide training and technical support to end-users and team members on new IT solutions and systems.
Required Skills and Qualifications Education :
Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Experience :
3+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure support, cloud services administration, or a related IT discipline.
Technical Skills :
Proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud). Strong understanding of network infrastructure, databases, and security protocols. Experience with virtualization technologies and systems integration. Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, Python) and automation tools. Experience supporting or administering SCADA and Operational Technology (OT) environments, including an understanding of the availability, connectivity, security, and operational requirements associated with industrial systems .
Soft Skills :
Strong problem-solving abilities and analytical thinking. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Ability to provide technical guidance to other IT team members. Ability to support multiple projects and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Certifications :
Relevant IT certifications (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure, ITIL, etc.) are preferred.
