About the role:
This is a senior-level technical application ownership and platform support role responsible for the operational stability, performance, and strategic evolution of enterprise Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and sanctions screening platforms. The position oversees the back-end administration and support of critical compliance technologies, including server and environment management, platform configuration, system upgrades, performance optimization, integrations, and production support. The role partners closely with Compliance, Information Technology, Infrastructure, Security, and external vendors to ensure the reliability, scalability, and regulatory readiness of AML and sanctions screening systems. While collaborating with compliance stakeholders, this position does not serve as a front-line compliance analyst. Instead, it provides deep technical expertise and application ownership to maintain platform integrity, support audit and regulatory requirements, and drive continuous improvement across the compliance technology landscape.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role you will: Technical Systems & Platform Ownership Act as technical system owner for enterprise AML and sanctions platforms, including LexisNexis Bridger Insight XG, Panviva, and supporting compliance technologies Provide Tier 2 / Tier 3 support for production issues, including system availability, data processing failures, performance degradation, and batch or interface errors Manage and support application servers, environments, and scheduled processing, working closely with infrastructure and database teams Lead application upgrades, patching, and platform lifecycle management, including vendor coordination, pre prod validation, and post deployment stabilization Install, configure, and maintain AML platforms, including:
  • Screening rules, logic, thresholds, and workflows
  • Data ingestion, batching, and processing schedules
  • Environment specific configuration (DEV / PROD) Support interfaces, integrations, and data pipelines between AML platforms and upstream/downstream systems (e.
g., customer, vendor, transaction feeds) Perform root cause analysis for incidents and recurring defects; implement corrective and preventive technical solutions Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, support procedures, and operational standards Ensure platforms meet availability, performance, security, and audit requirements AML, Sanctions & Risk Compliance (Technical Support) Provide technical expertise to support AML, OFAC, BSA, and sanctions compliance programs Support compliance teams by ensuring systems operate correctly, data is processed accurately, and controls are enforceable through technology Assist with regulatory exams, audits, and internal risk testing by providing system evidence, data lineage, and configuration documentation Identify system or control gaps that have technology‑based solutions, and partner with stakeholders on remediation This role does not perform front‑line case investigations or analyst screening work as a primary function Configuration, Data & Technical Enablement Translate compliance and regulatory requirements into technical configuration and system design, not manual analysis Develop or support SQL based queries, reports, extracts, and utilities for:
  • Operational monitoring, Data validation & reconciliation, and Audit support Provide back‑end integration support, including
REST API
configuration, testing, and troubleshooting, working with JSON‑based payloads, and leveraging Swagger/OpenAPI, Postman, and Karate to validate endpoints, automate test scenarios, and diagnose integration defects Tune system performance and screening configurations to optimize throughput and reduce false positives, while maintaining regulatory integrity Coordinate system testing, UAT support, and production deployments for configuration changes and enhancements Support data investigations related to system behavior, screening logic, and integration issues Leadership, Collaboration & Continuous Improvement Serve as a technical mentor and escalation point for analysts and support staff working with compliance platforms Coordinate work across compliance, IT infrastructure, database, security, and vendor teams Drive standardization, automation, and operational maturity across AML technology support Proactively identify opportunities to improve system resilience, performance, monitoring, and supportability Effectively communicate technical risks, issues, and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
QUALIFICATIONS

Skills and Knowledge AML & Compliance Platforms:
LexisNexis Bridger Insight, sanctions and watchlist screening tools
Enterprise Systems:
Knowledge management and compliance systems (e.g., Panviva, LexisNexis, Moody's, Dow Jones, World Check or similar)
Technical Skills:
SQL, JSON, data analysis, screening logic optimization, and quality assurance
Compliance Expertise:
AML, OFAC, BSA, regulatory controls, and risk management
Leadership & Communication:
Effectively communicate technical risks, issues, and recommendations to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders; Serve as a technical mentor and escalation point for analysts and support staff working with compliance platforms
Continuous Improvement:
Process optimization and control enhancement Background in financial services, banking, or other regulated industries Strong problem‑solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills Demonstrated ability to communicate complex technical topics clearly Experience working with vendors on escalations and defect resolution Fluency in English; additional language skills (e.g., Portuguese, Spanish) are a plus Experience & Education 5+ years of direct experience as technical owner or administrator of LexisNexis Bridger Insight XG or similar sanctions and AML screening platform required Experience supporting 24x7 or batch driven production systems High School Diploma or equivalent required Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience upgrading, configuring, and supporting enterprise compliance or AML/KYC platforms strongly preferred
