Service/Support Technician TREIN Management — Dickson, TN Full-time | $24.00-$32.00/hour, based on experience and certifications About TREIN Management TREIN Management is a physical security and technology integration company based in Dickson, TN. We design, install, and support AI-powered video surveillance, access control, structured cabling, and networking systems for schools, churches, businesses, and municipalities across the country. We're growing quickly and looking for an experienced technician who can work on both sides of the job: hands-on service and installation in the field, as well as technical support and troubleshooting for customers and our team. What You'll Do This position will currently serve as a combination of field service technician and technical support , so we're looking for someone who is equally comfortable working with their hands and troubleshooting technical issues. Install and terminate structured cabling (Cat5e/Cat6, fiber) for camera and network systems Install and configure IP security cameras, NVRs, and video management platforms Install and program access control systems, including readers, controllers, locks, and credentials Set up and troubleshoot networking equipment, including switches, routers, VLANs, PoE, and basic network configurations Diagnose and resolve service calls for existing camera, access control, and network systems Provide technical support and troubleshoot system issues remotely when needed Assist customers and field technicians with diagnosing hardware, software, connectivity, and configuration issues Determine when an issue can be resolved remotely versus when an on-site service call is required Read and work from low-voltage drawings, riser diagrams, and site plans Document service issues, troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and job progress Communicate clearly and professionally with customers, technicians, and the office Keep your vehicle, tools, and job sites organized and safe What You Need 3+ years of hands-on experience in low-voltage, physical security, networking, or similar technician work Experience troubleshooting technical issues, not just installing equipment Working knowledge of IP networking, including IP addressing, VLANs, and PoE Experience installing and servicing IP cameras and access control hardware Ability to troubleshoot camera, access control, cabling, and basic network issues Comfortable communicating technical information to customers and other technicians Comfortable running cable, working on ladders/lifts, and lifting up to 50 lbs Ability to provide your own standard hand tools required for low-voltage/security technician work Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check (many of our clients are schools and require this) High school diploma or GED Nice to Have Manufacturer certifications such as Verkada, Avigilon, Axis, UniFi, or similar CompTIA Network+ or equivalent networking certification Experience providing remote technical support Experience with fire alarm or intrusion systems Experience troubleshooting systems across multiple manufacturers/platforms What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience and certifications Company vehicle provided Specialty tools provided by TREIN Steady, year-round work with a growing company — no seasonal gaps Exposure to a variety of security, access control, and networking technologies Opportunity to take on additional responsibility and grow with the company as we scale
