Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled Crane Inspection and Service Technician to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide range of crane systems and lifting equipment within manufacturing facilities. Your expertise will ensure the safety, reliability, and optimal performance of cranes and associated machinery. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical knowledge, excellent diagnostic skills, and a commitment to safety standards. This position offers an opportunity to work with diverse industrial equipment in a dynamic environment, supporting operational excellence across multiple sectors. Duties Conduct comprehensive inspections of cranes, hoists, and lifting devices using precision measuring instruments and schematics to identify potential issues or safety hazards. Perform routine maintenance tasks including electrical diagnostics, hydraulic system servicing, and mechanical adjustments to ensure equipment operates efficiently. Troubleshoot complex electrical systems utilizing tools such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), including Figure 8, Cable Reel, and Festoon Systems as required. Repair or replace faulty components through welding (stick welding), electrical repairs, or hydraulic system adjustments following detailed schematics and engineering troubleshooting procedures. Test equipment functionality with specialized tools like scissor lifts and low voltage testers to verify repairs and ensure compliance with safety standards. Provide technical support for equipment upgrades or modifications, including mechanical or electrical system enhancements. Collaborate with manufacturing teams to minimize downtime by efficiently diagnosing issues and executing repairs on-site. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to all safety protocols related to industrial mechanics, electrical maintenance, and crane operation. Offer exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with clients regarding inspection findings and repair recommendations. Qualifications Proven experience working with a focus on crane inspection or industrial maintenance, 5 years previous experience, with VFD, Radio Control and Collision Avoidance Systems. Strong knowledge of electrical systems including troubleshooting pneumatic systems, hydraulics, schematics reading, and electrical blueprint interpretation. Hands-on experience with industrial mechanic tasks such as equipment troubleshooting, and mechanical repairs. Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments like voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, and schematics reading tools. Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), low voltage systems, HVAC/R systems (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning/ Refrigeration), and industrial electrician practices. Ability to interpret engineering troubleshooting procedures and perform detailed analysis for equipment repair. Excellent communication skills in English for effective documentation and customer interactions. Relevant certifications or training in electrical diagnostics, hydraulic systems, or industrial mechanics are preferred. This role demands a proactive approach to maintenance combined with technical expertise. $28.00 - $35.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 - 50.0 per week
