Systems Administrator

Systems administrator / analyst to perform work on server infrastructure projects to serve the business needs of TDI. The emphasis of work performed shall be Azure/Entra ID/M365, Windows Server and Unix server administration. The work will include, but is not limited to, OS and application builds, hardening (security vulnerabilities), configurations, scripting, documentation, and troubleshooting. Work will require familiarity with RedHat Linux, IBM AIX, WebSphere, MS Windows AD DS, Azure AD, SharePoint Online, Power Platform, and M365 in the Government Community Cloud (GCC) environment. Contract staff will also be responsible for writing technical and user documentation. The worker should have a strong knowledge of and automating task using PowerShell scripts. The contract staff shall work on a project within a support team, participating in regular meetings, work sessions, and interactions with the business owners, technical staff, and vendors. They should be a self-starter with experience working in a virtual collaborative setting with multiple teams and tasks. The worker should possess strong written and oral presentation skills, with abilities to help present work done and prepare training when needed. This work may also include other support projects as determined by time available and remaining in contract. All project work will include change management workflows, business processes, and other requirements in support of TDI s server and infrastructure efforts.

Minimum Requirements:

Years Required/Preferred Experience 8 Required Working on Windows system administration doing OS support, patching and security vulnerability remediation. 5 Required Microsoft PowerShell scripting experience. 5 Required Troubleshooting and solving complex problems related to implementation or maintenance of system software and operating systems. 5 Required Testing systems and/or applications to ensure user and functional requirements are met. 4 Required SharePoint Online administration, configuration, and support experience. 3 Required Using Microsoft Teams or other collaboration tool to communicate and work within a team. 3 Required Working on Microsoft 365 / Azure administration with Hybrid joined domain model. 3 Required Working on Microsoft Power Platform to include Power Automate, PowerApps and PowerBI. 5 Preferred Working on Windows system administration doing OS support, patching and security vulnerability remediation. 5 Preferred Remediation of security vulnerabilities on Windows servers. 5 Preferred Writing technical and user documentation for system applications. 5 Preferred Automate daily system admin process using scripting. 3 Preferred Microsoft SharePoint site planning, design, and implementation. 3 Preferred Experience using 3rd party SharePoint management and reporting tools. 3 Preferred Experience with creating system usage and reporting dashboards. 2 Preferred Working as a systems analyst or security administrator in direct support of a State agency in the Texas State Data Center environment. 2 Preferred Working as a systems analyst or security administrator in the Microsoft 365 government tenant for a Texas State agency.
