Job Description
Description We are looking for a Systems Administrator to support and strengthen our technology environment in Corpus Christi, Texas. This role is responsible for maintaining reliable on-premises and cloud-based systems, assisting users with technical issues, and helping deliver secure, well-documented IT services across the organization. The ideal candidate brings hands-on experience with Microsoft technologies, strong troubleshooting ability, and a collaborative approach to infrastructure and support operations.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver frontline and escalated technical support for end users, resolving hardware, software, and access issues while supporting daily IT operations across office and site environments.
- Administer Microsoft Azure resources, including compute, storage, and networking services, with a focus on stability, performance, scalability, and cost-conscious management.
- Manage identity and access through Microsoft Entra ID by maintaining user and group accounts, applying role-based permissions, and enforcing security controls such as multi-factor authentication and conditional access.
- Perform routine administration of Windows-based servers, file services, and related infrastructure, including patching, software maintenance, and system configuration updates.
- Monitor system health across cloud and on-premises environments, investigate service disruptions, and restore normal operations quickly to reduce downtime.
- Oversee backup and recovery activities to protect business data and support continuity requirements in the event of system failure or data loss.
- Create and maintain clear technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge base content to support consistent service delivery and issue resolution.
- Work closely with internal IT teams, external vendors, and project stakeholders to implement infrastructure initiatives and maintain a secure, integrated technology environment. Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in systems administration supporting Microsoft-based environments.
- Practical expertise managing Microsoft Azure services, including virtual machines, storage platforms, and virtual networking components.
- Strong experience with Microsoft Entra ID or Azure Active Directory, including account lifecycle management, group administration, and access security policies.
- Solid knowledge of Windows Server administration, desktop support, file servers, and core networking principles such as TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP.
- Demonstrated ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues across both cloud and on-premises systems using structured troubleshooting methods.
- Familiarity with security best practices, including patch management, vulnerability reduction, firewalls, and incident response procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA, Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate, or comparable infrastructure and cloud credentials are preferred.
