Job Description
Description We are looking for a skilled Systems Administrator to oversee and optimize our server infrastructure, storage solutions, and end-user environment. This role requires a proactive approach to system health, security, automation, and technical support, ensuring smooth operations in a dynamic environment. If you excel at troubleshooting and maintaining IT systems while delivering exceptional user support, we invite you to join our team.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and analyze server performance metrics, including memory, disk space, and network activity, while addressing alerts promptly.
- Automate operating system updates, security patches, and software installations to enhance system efficiency.
- Manage user accounts, permissions, and access controls to ensure proper security and functionality.
- Diagnose and resolve issues related to servers, applications, and connectivity to minimize downtime.
- Provide technical support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and other end-user devices.
- Perform regular backups, verify their integrity, and test disaster recovery procedures to safeguard data.
- Review security logs and respond to potential threats in alignment with organizational protocols.
- Configure and optimize server settings to align with evolving business requirements.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation for systems, processes, and incidents to support operational continuity.
- Communicate system status, incidents, and performance metrics effectively to the IT Director. Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in systems administration or infrastructure support.
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and delivering excellent customer service in IT environments.
- Hands-on experience with Windows 11, Microsoft 365, Azure, and other business-critical applications.
- Familiarity with IT ticketing systems, incident management, and hardware maintenance.
- Expertise in Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, and Windows 10.
- Knowledge of Dell and Citrix technologies.
- Strong communication skills coupled with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
