Job Description
Network Administrator Designs, configures, installs, maintains, and troubleshoots enterprise level networks and associated equipment. proactively plans, repairs, and implements a network that supports a dynamic Information Technology landscape. The employee will have the responsibility of: Providing guidance with designing, planning, and implementing a high-quality and reliable network infrastructure Assisting in daily operations by providing technical support and assistance for all city network systems Implementing and administering security configurations and practices on all switching equipment Analyzing potential impacts to the network from changes requested by vendors and staff Configure, install, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, servers, access points, point-to-point radios, and other network devices. Associates Degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or related field of study; and Four (4) years' experience with enterprise networks, virtual environments, and IP phone systems; or Any equivalent combination of education and experience Network+ and Security+ certifications, preferredSpecial Requirements:
Must have a valid driver's license by date-of-hire Must have the ability to work flexible hours as required. Including some nights and weekends as necessary Must be able to pass FBI criminal background fingerprint check and have the ability to comply with state and federal requirements for criminal justice information security standardsBenefits
