Duties:
Manage computer resources including designing, implementing and maintaining existing equipment/peripherals along with other hardware & software technologies. These technologies include routers, firewalls, VOIP telephone systems/other telephony, VPN, DVR's, servers, mobile phones, desktops, tablets and other pertinent equipment. Support and manage various hardware and applications throughout the environment. Maintains system performance by performing system monitoring and analysis, performance tuning, troubleshooting system hardware, software, networks and operating systems. Ensures the security and integrity of computer systems using industry standard practices. Disaster recovery and business continuity planning. Provide technical support to end users. Other duties as needed to help the overall performance of Information Technology department. Participate in after hours on-call rotation Some system operational duties
Education:
Minimum of Associates Degree in an information technology related field or equivalent technical/vocational degree. Experience Minimum 2 years experience as a system administrator & technical support of a medium sized network & associated servers/desktops using current technologies. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Skills/Qualifications:
Ability to multi-task and deliver multiple projects by deadlines Strong knowledge of various Windows and Linux operating systems. Experience configuring devices (servers/desktops/tablets/phones) Linux/Windows and IBM i system(AS400) experience a plus.
Physical and Mental Demands:
Work involves standing, sitting, walking, lifting, reaching and carrying. Lifting may include computers, servers and switches, manuals, and small equipment. Must be able to lift 20lbs. from the floor and from overhead, and 40lbs from waist height; exercise good body mechanics in execution of essential duties, including appropriate back and neck posture. Job frequently involves speaking, listening and understanding of complex concepts.
