Job Description Insight Global is looking for a Network Admin to join one of our clients in Virginia Beach, VA. The Network Administrator - Nightwatch ensures 24/7 network availability. Working within the Network Operations and Security Center (NOSC), you will operate, maintain, and troubleshoot multi-classification LAN, WAN, and VPN infrastructure. This position follows a Panama shift schedule (6 PM-6 AM), rotating long and short weeks to provide continuous coverage. There will need to be a willingness to work evening, night, and weekend shifts, What you will do
  •  Maintain uninterrupted operation of local area networks (LAN), wide area networks (WAN), and virtual private networks (VPN).
  •  Plan, evaluate, and coordinate installation or reconfiguration of data and voice communication hardware/software.
  •  Troubleshoot network connectivity issues—WAN circuits, equipment failures, router/switch configurations, firewall access control lists, VoIP device registration, and cryptographic device keying.
  •  Coordinate with Navy, DISA, and commercial carriers for circuit implementation and fault resolution.
  •  Ensure Information Assurance compliance through IOS upgrades, device configuration changes, and firewall ACL verifications.
  •  Monitor network performance and conduct short- and long-range capacity planning.
  •  Develop and maintain network documentation and standard operating procedures.
  •  Propose cost-effective network design enhancements based on current usage and future requirements.
  •  Coordinate third-party maintenance and restoration support at remote sites.
Compensation:
$43/hr to 48/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Benefit packages for this role will start day 1 of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching. Employees in this role are also entitled to paid sick leave and/or other paid time off as provided by applicable law.   •  6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in related field or 4 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field or 10 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent
  •  Active secret clearance
  •  CompTIA Security+ CE
  •  Hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting WAN/LAN equipment (routers, switches, multiplexers) and circuits
  •  knowledge of Cisco internetworking (IP addressing, VLANs, VTP, 802.1q, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, PIM, multicast) and Cisco IOS
  •  5 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in related field or 0 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field or 9 years of relevant experience with a High School Diploma or equivalent
  •  Active secret clearance
  •  CompTIA Security+ CE
  •  Hands-on experience installing and troubleshooting WAN/LAN equipment (routers, switches, multiplexers) and circuits
