Exempt General Summary:
This role is responsible for troubleshooting system issues, providing technical support to users, developing operating procedures, and recommending system enhancements to improve performance and support seamless event operations. The position identifies and promotes best practices by facilitating effective communication between end users and system vendors.
Job Duties:
Demonstrates and embodies the PMI Entertainment Group Culture and Customer Service values. Delivers training to staff members on system functionality based on the employee role and system. Analyzes all company software to develop SOP's and best practices in programs to include, but not limited to event management system, point of sale systems, and inventory systems. Provides IT support for retail and food and beverage point of sale systems, including hardware, software, and next generation ordering solutions. Train in company owned event management system and be the administrator of the system. This includes setting up registrations, contracts, exhibitor portals and updating price lists. Stay up to date on all upgrades/system releases and test the systems before upgrades are released. Leads as company project manager, shared by departments, guiding team members to achieve greater utilization of company owned software and systems. Works with vendors to procure hardware, software, and support services Maintains system security and integrity and user profiles. Presents solutions to the Director of IT regarding workflow challenges, software enhancements, or required upgrades to company-owned systems. Collaborates with supervisors and department leads to streamline processes and special projects. Performs tests on new processes and prepares appropriate reports. Creates financial reports or other reports as requested. Writes and maintains documentation for existing and new systems. Coordinates and assigns tasks to co-workers within a work unit or project. Resolves routine questions and problems and sets project deadlines. Responsible for following, observing, and participating in all Company related safety programs, procedures, and training sessions, as well as reporting potentially unsafe procedures. Maintains knowledge of new developments in the field by attending related educational programs, seminars, and other educational courses. Assists in other IT areas as necessary. Participates in on-site rotation for event support Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Knowledge of information technology at a level normally acquired through completion of an associate degree in computer science. Three to five years previous work experience in related field. Experience with Momentus or an equivalent event management system is required. Interpersonal skills required to communicate effectively with all levels of company personnel. Able to learn various ERP systems. Able to make system recommendations. Able to write processes and procedures. Must be able to meet deadlines. Must be able to multi-task as there can be many interruptions in the day. Previous experience utilizing Microsoft Office is required. Must be proficient in Excel. Requires the ability to maintain confidentiality of company records. Detail oriented, professional attitude. Possess strong organizational and time management skills with little supervision. Ability to interact with employees and vendors in a professional manner. Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced and high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness. Ability to give, receive and analyze information, formulate work plans, prepare written materials, and articulate goals and action plans. Requires excellent interpersonal skills.
