Job Description

Job Summary:
This role involves diagnosing, repairing and maintaining trailers (or other equipment as needed) to ensure optimal functionality and customer satisfaction. The person in the role must have strong problem-solving skills, technical expertise, and a commitment to high-quality service.
Key Responsibilities/Duties:
  • Diagnose issues and perform repairs on units including mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Perform annual safety inspections and preventative maintenance on trailers.
  • Test unit following repair to ensure effective and safe operation.
  • Communicate repair issues, solutions, and recommendations to service manager.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
  • Follow all safety protocols and company guidelines to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to customers, as required.
  • Perform pre-delivery inspection of trailers.
  • Maintain an orderly and clean work area. Assist with keeping the entire shop clean and orderly.
  • Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with co-workers, vendors, and customers.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in repair or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience in equipment repair, ideally in an automotive, trailer, heavy equipment, or industrial setting.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and handle heavy loads up to 70 lbs.
  • May require working with potentially hazardous materials requiring the use of personal protective equipment.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$25.00 - $35.00 per hour
