THE LOW DOWN AZCOMP
is a Managed Services Provider (MSP) supporting small to medium businesses, many of them medical practices. When we do our jobs well, doctors and staff can focus on what matters most: helping patients. So yes… IT matters. And this role matters a lot. We are looking for a dedicated Onsite Field Technician who takes ownership of hands-on IT work at customer sites- deploying firewalls, switches, servers, and cabling infrastructure, executing project work cleanly, and leaving every customer environment better than you found it.
YOUR MISSION
As an Onsite Field Technician, you will be the boots-on-the-ground presence for AZCOMP's client base- executing infrastructure projects, resolving onsite issues, and ensuring that every customer environment is clean, documented, and running right.
Your responsibilities will include:
Onsite Project Execution Travel to customer locations to perform scheduled and emergency onsite work Serve as a primary face of AZCOMP in the field- representing the company professionally at all times Execute infrastructure projects on time, on scope, and with minimal disruption to the customer's business Communicate project status proactively to internal teams and customers throughout the engagement Network Infrastructure Deployment Install, configure, and replace: Firewalls Managed switches (layer 2 and layer 3) Wireless access points and controllers Network racks UPS units and power distribution equipment Configure network services including VLANs, DHCP, DNS, VPN, NAT, and inter-VLAN routing Perform network assessments and document existing environments prior to deployments Coordinate ISP circuit installations and troubleshoot WAN connectivity issues Server & Workstation Deployments Deploy and configure physical servers (Windows Server, Hyper-V, VMware) Rack and stack server hardware, including cable management and labeling Perform OS installations, domain joins, and baseline configurations Set up and configure NAS/SAN storage devices Deploy workstations and laptops for new customer onboardings and refreshes Assist with Office 365 and Azure Active Directory/Entra ID integrations during deployments Cybersecurity Deployment Install and configure cybersecurity tools and software including: Endpoint protection, antivirus, and EDR solutions MFA solutions and identity security tools Email security and spam filtering DNS filtering and web content controls Security monitoring and SIEM agents Ensure all deployed systems meet AZCOMP security standards and customer compliance requirements
SKILLS THAT MAKE YOU A GREAT FIT
Strong networking fundamentals: LAN/WAN/VLAN/DHCP/DNS/VPN/routing Hands-on experience racking, stacking, and cabling physical infrastructure Comfortable working independently in the field with minimal supervision Strong troubleshooting instincts- you figure things out Excellent written and verbal communication with both technical teams and non-technical customers High attention to detail
- you care how things look, not just whether they work Ability to manage multiple active projects without dropping the ball
QUALIFICATIONS
Required 5+ years of professional IT experience Strong experience with business network hardware deployment and configuration Hands-on experience installing and configuring firewalls, switches, and wireless infrastructure Experience deploying Windows Server environments (physical and/or virtual) Experience with structured cabling: running, terminating, and testing Ability to work onsite at customer locations throughout the Phoenix metro area and occasionally beyond Strong documentation skills, this is not optional Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Preferred MSP experience strongly preferred Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, CCNA, or Microsoft certsWHAT WE PROVIDE A

Employment is contingent upon successfully passing a mandatory drug test. 5+ years IT experience required. Valid driver's license required. CompTIA A+ preferred. CompTIA Network+ preferred. CompTIA Security+ preferred.Pay:
$55,000.00- $65,000.
